beer. and country #42.

this post should mainly be about beer.

because i feel like that is what our two and a half days in lithuania could be summarized into.

and i'm hoping i'll have the photographic evidence to back this up.

because there's quite a craft brew scene happening in vilnius these days so we had a few places on the list we wanted to check out.

who knew, right?

we stayed in an airbnb that was decent on the inside, but the outside looked like a third world country. (i'll link in the apartment, but because of several minor issues with the apartment, and the outside, we probably wouldn't recommend this place.)

we found ourselves referring to it as a "shanty town."

we wandered about a lot wondering what to do with our time. the christmas market turned out to be quite small and the weather wasn't exactly great for sightseeing. it was, however, quite pretty with the lights that they had strung up.

we went and saw a movie in english, which is always a treat, but we both ended up taking naps so i guess we won't be recommending it.

uber, however, was a gem, with bargain basement prices.

we also checked out a free city tour, always a good option, and it opened our eyes to new sections of the city.

including uzupis, an independent district of artists, and reminded us of similar areas like copenhagen's district christiania.

here are some other sights of vilnius:

we ate here and drank here on night one.

on night two we ate here and drank here, which is an absolute must to check out.

we had this beer sampler at that restaurant...and i thought their beer was worth passing on.

was our table too small or did we order too much?

we also had breakfast here twice. pretty cute place...
